For the love of God, please read.

I've realized lately that the more I get annoyed with people the more it has to do with senseless statements that seem completely hollow once you manage to ground them down into where they came from. It's frustrating to see intelligent people hold on to ridiculous ideas, and perhaps even more frustrating when people throw out various statements without anything to back them up whatsoever. If there is anything I hate, it's sheer stupidity. And this qualifies very well.

Of course, for those who know me this has a lot to do with peoples political ideals. And of course, with the left. But it ALSO has to do with these idiotic ideas that come out of the leftist counterculture. I am not sure where we are anymore - if the mass meetings of workers that once took place has instead given way to youngsters in thick mascara and combat boots. I sincerely hope that the main of the leftist movement hasn't become some flittering, fluttering group bent on resisting 'conformism' (as South Park so aptly puts it in their various sketches with the goth kids).

If it has, it deserves the condemnation of American conservatives and Swedish liberals. There is a lot of pie-throwing on both sides of the fence, and most of it has to do with the fact that we, as Karl Popper puts it: 'go looking for more white swans to prove that all swans are white, when we should be searching for a black swan instead'. But this is just related to the fact that a lot of people don't truly investigate and try to learn. There's little challenge in their views, there is little work on them. Instead, people accept what sounds the most plausible and take it at face value.

This goes for all of us. It goes for Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, the political Left and the Right, for the upper and lower classes. If we're ever truly going to get anywhere, we need to become a lot better at critical thinking and examination, and learning how to cope with data. I'm so frustrated by the kind of badly thought through statements that you so often hear about politics and philosophies.

So study, study and study even harder. That's the only thing we can do, it seems. Life is learning.

As a last note, I am working on what I suppose is an epistemological system. It's quite amusing. Perhaps I'll publish it later?
